I have run across a few of these “yawn” masks over the last few years and have not been impressed. But this one is different.
This is an artisan’s stunning interpretation of what is supposed to be a satisfying gesture. But with the wrinkled forehead, flared nostrils and a far-reaching dropped jaw, I am thrilled to offer this mask.
Hand signed by the artist (and his daughter), this hibiscus carving uses horse hair for its disheveled coiffure. Chip on the lip. Stand is not included
It’s just a cool mask. Is it really a yawn or a cry for help!
This unique mask has sold. Thanks D.M. !!!
