Warrior Short Sword. Brass Scabbard.  Dragon.  Bhutan / Tibet

Strong, straight, single-edged blade with scabbard and hilt covered with brass finish with wire-wrapped grip.  Scrollwork and engraving with a rare five-toed dragon . . representing dignity and honor.

 

Commonly used during the 18th and 19th Centuries.   . . . a rarity for dragons to have 5 toes unless there is royalty nearby or as a sign of courage during warfare.
