Very Large Myrtle Wood Bowl.  Hand Carved.  Signed.  Tasmania

A stunning bowl that I commissioned Tasmanian wood carvers back in the 1990s.  I have two myrtle wood bowl on the site now, see C-1101.

This is one of the rainforest reddish wood . . .  a predominant species in the Tasmanian cool-temperature rainforests.  Its regeneration cycle is from 1 to 500 years.   Myrtle is prized for its furniture, flooring and decorative art.

Hand signed by Michael Jones.

Just look at the grain, the designs and the base.  Would make a phenomenal gift ! !
