Ancient Holy Land terra-cotta oil lamp. Worn designs. Concentric circles on base. Small knob handle. Grayish / brown coloration. Crisply molded geometric and floral designs, gestural ring base and small knob handle.
Acquired and uncovered from 1963 through 1969 by a couple who extensively traveled the Mideast and Northern Africa.
Personally examined by a western U.S. state museum director. He has assured me that they are indeed original and not reproductions or facsimiles.
The condition is excellent.
