Detail: Bronze composition with gold gilt. Gorgeous engravings on its neck, front shoulder and hind quarters (dragon and phoenix). There is another horse statue that is quite similar (see Item S-2380). There is a slight variation in stance and head tilt.

Detail: Sancai is a technique of intermingling decorative colors and dates back to the Tang Dynasty. This particular horse was made in Luoyang (Henan Province). There is a signature stamp in the pottery. Perfect condition. Age unknown.
