Detail: Black shield with a 68” spear. Acquired from tribesman in the early 1970’s and brought to the US. Acquired from one of our US agents. Carved in the 1940’s or 1950’s. Gumwood shield. Maasai Masai Spear, Kenya Africa

Detail: Seven feet in length, this spear comes from a Maasai tribe in Kenya. Hand created by a young Maasai warrior for his rights-of-passage into adulthood. Acquired from a tribesman back in the early 1970’s by our Capetown agent, it was shipped to me in the late 1990’s.   This item was SOLD. Thank you, T.D.
