Detail: A male and female pair of foo dogs / lions made of black jade-like (serpentine or omphacite) and white jade-like (nanyang or saussurite). Acquired from a group of craftsman a block away from Tiananmen Square in Beijing. These are hand carved and would make stunning bookends!
