Detail: Bodhisattva. Carved from solid stone in a village north of Beijing. It has been in one family for a couple of generations. Applied paint has faded but still evident. Could easily be mounted and displayed in a garden or in a special place in the home. Circa early-1900’s or perhaps before. In very good condition.
In March 2011, I had a custom stand crafted in metal. It is round with a series of tapering levels, providing an additional 2+” of height to the head. The stand has a vintage look that complements the general ambiance of the head. If you would like photos of the head on the stand, please contact me.
Sorry, this item is sold. Many thanks, B.B. !
