This is a statue carved in the form of a royal court attendant.  The style is from the Tang Dynasty.

Carved from Hetian jade – a form of nephrite.  From the western province of Xinjiang, Hotan District, near the Kulun Mountains.  The caramel color is just gorgeous.

The statue is in perfect condition.  Circa mid-1900’s… or perhaps earlier.  Stand not included. 11.5″ tall x 4″ at widest.
