Rare Ornate Brass Elephant Bell. India

Perhaps this is a bell for some other purpose but it has the profile of a very ornate elephant bell….. although a bit smaller than seen before.
It is possibly a rendition and made smaller for decorative reasons.
Regardless, this is a rare bell and possibly from the early 1900s. Tassle and cord are more recent.
Has been in my private collection since 1995.
