The blade (wilah) with its visible and structural pamor/surface is the most spiritual and powerful part of the Kris.  This particular weapon is defined by its shape . .  an undulating shape called dapur luk.  The metal composition – a mixture of alloys – is usually iron and nickel with acid etching.  The prabot/details of the blade (sunken places, grooves, curls and teeth) gives this particular Kris its personality . . .  and no two prabots are ever alike.

The sheath (warangka) is made of Timoho wood (Kleinhovia Hospital) and its shape indicates it is from Java for everyday use (Gayaman).  The wood and pattern each have special powers.  The kris is at rest when in the sheath and its power is restricted.

This is truly an amazing Kris and very hard to find with this much detail and quality . . .  and the teeth.

For the Serious Collector.
