Detail:  Dokra / Dhokra is a tribal Indian handicraft.  Thought to be the oldest form of metal casting (lost wax process).  What makes these pieces so popular is a “varied designs” issue and because of its primitive simplicity.  Elephants were always the most popular for these artisans.  It has a definite aesthetic appeal.  I secured this from a private collector of Dokra craft in Hawaii.  Very unique and very old. Circa early 1900’s.  In very good condition.  For the Serious Collector.
