Original and authentic pieces from ancient Egypt are almost impossible to acquire at a reasonable price.  And there are the issues of importing, exporting, authentication and language.

With that said, here is an item that is old but not necessarily ancient.

This painting depicts an ancient scene of motherhood symbolizing intelligence, wisdom, spirituality and fertility.

This piece was created by skilled artisans in a village near Aswan (Upper Egypt, south of Luxor) and near the world-famous granite quarries of Shellal.  The village is known for its sculptures, paintings and ancient Egyptian crafts.

Acquired from a collector and owner of an antiquities shop in Luxor.  He claims it was created in the mid-1900s.

Would look great on a bookshelf!
