Original Wood Sculpture Statue of Female, Barbados

Purchased from a local artisan who set up shop on one of the many piers in the harbor. I believe this was carved from Barbados Mahagony (swietenia mahogany), a tropical wood well known in the cabinetry industry. In original condition except for an aging crack.
A light black stain was either rubbed into the wood or applied.
