Watching the River – a lament

Tang Dynasty – Niu Jian

The east wind, anxious

We part as flowers bloom, touching hands,

Into the bedroom, depressed and lonely

Horses neigh in a cruel rain, this wet weedy spring

Standing in the doorway, my words to a fickle man

Powder and perfume mixed by my tears.

Art on silk background and scrolled.
