Old Tantric Yak Bone Phurba / Phurpa. Nepal / Tibet.

This Tibetan yak bone phurba shows Vajrakilaya, the yidam diety that is most powerful in removing obstacles.  Vajrakilaya is one of eight deities of Kagye.

Phurba’s are ritual daggers used to confront evil spirits.

Authentic bone phurbas are becoming very hard to find.  This is an excellent specimen.  Circa mid-1900s.  Stand not included.
