Basically this is earthenware decorated with opaque colored glazes.

The Egyptian’s first developed faience as far back as a piece from 5500 BCE excavated in Abydos, one of Egypt’s ancient cities.  This material that was infused with metals and glass found its way across the Silk Road and maritime trade routes into China.

The composition of these elements (called frit) was fused in special ovens . . . and then compounded into enamels and ceramic glazes.

The offering bowl is comprised of those compounds along with some Miao Silver straps.

Very unique and hard to find.  Stand not included.
