Old Jokwe Mask, Congo Africa

Jokwe, Chokwe or Tchokwe are governed by a king (Mwana Ngana).  This tribe is vigorous and courageous hunters and agriculturists.  Netting and shells that form the headdress are from the sea.  Circa mid-1900’s.  From my private collection.  Pristine condition.  For the Serious Collector.
