When I acquired this in 1999 from an estate sale in Southern California, there was a tag taped to the back saying SHIBA…. huh?   I could tell that it was an older piece of bronze and very well cast.  I also knew what this was not the headdress / crown worn by the great Hindu god Shiva.

I have seen earlier representations of Hindu deity Krishna (especially in 17th century paintings) with a similar crown.  Or, it could simply be the White Tara, as known by Tibetan Buddhists.

Stand not included.
