The Bura culture – discovered in 1975 through a series of archeological excavations – was centered in the southwest portion of Niger and Burkina Faso. A mysterious culture up to then, the Bura were part of the Iron Age civilization where both smelting and forging of tools and developed as far back as 1200 B.C.
The Bura people produced a variety of distinctive artifacts…. in clay, iron and stone. This spear point is unique to this culture.
This spear point is 12” long x 4.5” at its widest point where it is double barbed.
