Detail:  This is excellent craftsmanship of the terracotta art from the Majapahit Empire of east Java (dating back to the 14th Century).  This was the last of the major Hindu empires of the Malay Archipelago.  The hair is worn on the side.  Decorations around the ear and the lobes.  This statue is in excellent shape.  Purchased from an art dealer in Hawaii who vouches for its hand crafted authenticity.  But age is unknown.  Wood base.
