Sancai is a technique of intermingling decorative colors that dates back to the Tang Dynasty and earlier.  This horse was fired in old kilns in Luoyang in the Henan Province.

Horses like this were used as burial pieces during the Tang Dynasty (618-906 AD).  No, this is not an original for that period but is an exceptional Sancai horse from the middle- to late-1900s.

After transit damage, I spent numerous hours extensively restoring this horse.  Yes, it has a number of cracks but from a few feet away, you cannot see any of them.

This is a quality piece (large and magnificent) and I have drastically reduced the price from it original EsotericStuff price of $435.00.  Stand not included.
