Large Silk Door Hanging with Dragons, Kathmandu Nepal

Detail: This is a hand embroidered piece with a red silk brocade background. Two dragons face each other. A Tibetan custom, wall hangings like this are used to welcome visitors at the entrances to monasteries, home and business offices. Dragons also ward off evil. Loops are attached for hanging. A newer piece but something everyone needs. Circa 1990’s.
