The Newari or Newar people are indigenous to the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas of Nepal.  For centuries they have been known for their artwork.  Metal craftsmanship – such as this bowl – is world-renowned for exquisite beauty.

Puja bowls or pots are often used for offering food to Deities during religious ceremonies.

In this near-perfect condition, this bowl is thought to be from the mid- to late-1800s.  Consecration symbol on bottom.

For the Serious Collector.

This consecrated Newari Bowl  has SOLD.  Thanks.  C.R.
