Huge Tibetan White Tara Buddha / Goddess Thangka / Tangka / Tapestry, Tibet

The Buddhists’ White Tara, a suggestion of Motherhood.   This phenomenal piece of art is hand painted with real stone paint.  The foundation is cloth or canvas, coated with clay.  It is embellished with 24k gold.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece of art likely from the mid-1900s . . . or earlier.  It is certainly from a monastery and – most likely –  displayed in a very special or sacred place.   It is in good condition.
