Huge Jade Unicorn or Sin-you, China

Click the photo above for a larger version and more pictures

This is a huge, 78-pound stunning piece that is either a Chinese unicorn with styling from the Ming Dynasty or a Sin-you that is symbolic of justice and truth.  Sin-you’s are mythological creatures from East Asia.    Hand carved from nephrite and was in a private home in Changchun (northeast of Beijing).  Age unknown but most likely early to mid-1900s.  You can determine the true value of the Nephrite with a gemologist but I am sure its value is many times the price.  The aesthetic value is very high.  Just look at the texture, the shape and the colors!  Phenomenal!   Serious Collector.
