I personally selected the very best statues / sculptures of this character from Mexican artisans.  Handmade of clay and meticulously painted in acylic paint, this one-of-a-kind was handcrafted by Alejandro Jacobo from Capula Michoacan Mexico…. well known artist for precision and expertise.   In fact, he started making catrinas when he was 13 years old (in 1987).

Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852 – 1913) – a political printmaker & engraver – started the catrina movement to expose and magnify the injustices of what was going on during the very early 1900s in Mexico City.  It is a cultural symbol tied to the “Day of the Dead”.

Handmade to my specifications.  A rare find and spectacular piece of art.
