Detail: Exceptional hand-etched and carved buffalo bone with wood finial plug. Used by Dayak tribal shamans to store herbs, magic powders and betal lime. The scrimshaw work on this piece is representative of animals that provide good luck. . as well as the ancestor on the plug. Age unknown but most likely circa early- to mid-1900’s. Very good condition. For the Serious Collector. Stand not included.
