Bronze Winged Garuda. Winged Bird. Buddhism. Anthropomorphic. Statue. Figure. Tibet
Garuda is a mythological bird of the dharma protector and Astasena in Buddhism. King of birds with an anthropomorphic form. Protector with power to go anywhere at anytime. Sometimes depicted with a snake or demon in their mouths.
Redpoll is commonly associated with this creature especially out of SE Asia. However, in the northern hemisphere, a redpoll is a finch.
This is an aggressive looking bird creature and is thought to ward off evil. Yea, I can see that.
The size, aggressive posture and metal composition is worthy of a bookshelf or desktop.
Stunning and majestic (at this size) is how I would describe it!
