Garuda is a mythological bird of the dharma protector and Astasena in Buddhism.  King of birds with an anthropomorphic form.  Protector with power to go anywhere at anytime.  Sometimes depicted with a snake or demon in their mouths.

 

Redpoll is commonly associated with this creature especially out of SE Asia.  However, in the northern hemisphere, a redpoll is a finch.

 

This is an aggressive looking bird creature and is thought to ward off evil.  Yea, I can see that.

 

The size, aggressive posture and metal composition is worthy of a bookshelf or desktop.

 

Stunning and majestic (at this size) is how I would describe it!
