European and Asian mythology portrays dragons in different forms.  European dragons are most often winged and Asian dragons have an abundance of scales and resemble large snakes.  The artist (Fisher) created a hybrid with a row of dorsal spines, wings, scales and the head of an Asian / Chinese dragon.

Fisher is an American sculptor well known for his wildlife creations.  This dragon is no exception to his craftsmanship.

Created by Fisher and cast in a Spanish foundry using the archaic method of lost-wax.  Stained with permanent brown patina finish.

Mounted on a marble base.  It’s rough, it’s wild, it’s exciting, it’s cool . . . it should be on your desk or shelf.
