Alexander the Great: I’ve spent almost a year now researching him, his family, his enemies (who turned allies), his horse, his motivations, his mental state, his death, his art, his monuments and homes… and a lot more.
Complex, intriguing, fascinating . . . with many “no way” moments.
I have assembled a number of items that are associated with him. Enjoy!
Reverend John Williams (1792 – 1858) was a Welsh scholar and educator.
In his later years, he was a prolific writer who spent most of his later years writing about Homer, Caesar, language origins of old Cymric poets . . . and various essays on philosophy, ethnology, archaeology and religion.
Ancient Greek map is bound in the front cover.
Fascinating and very rare copy. Published in 1843. 351 pages. The book is in fair condition with tight bindings and hinges. Some pages with foxing and stains. A few worm holes.
Very readable.
