Authentic Tantric Ceremonial / Ritual Human Skull in Resin, Tibet

Click the photo above for a larger version and more pictures

These decorated skulls have been used in tantric Buddhism ceremonial  practices recently in place of  authentic bone human skulls (which a harder to find).  It is part of the Vajrayana tradition in Tibet.  It is thought that the soul and strength are preserved inside the skull.  This resin human skull is decorated with hand shaped Tibetan silver / nickel metal pieces.  The top of the skull is hinged and allows for a votive deposit… a religious / sacred offering or perhaps incense.

A simple wire stand allows the skull to sit upright.  No other stands are included.
