Handmade and crafted by a Tharu Shaman.  The Tharu people – who reside in the southern foothills of the Himalayas in the Terai Region of Nepal – are well known for their religious festivals, rituals and exorcisms.


This particular necklace was worn by the Rana Tharu of far western Nepal (Kanthshri).


This necklace was crafted with low alloy silver and brass with old Indian coins as accent pieces.
