These are statues used by Vodun priest(s) during a libation ceremonial or ritual. According from my U.S. source, this piece was acquired directly from a priest in Ghana. The collector has possessed the pair for over 12 years.
Age is unknown. Notice the encrustations . . . of liquid and solid particles over the longevity of these pieces.
