Detail: This vessel – with a guardian foo dog on top – is a quality piece of art. I acquired it from an Asian art dealer in Los Angeles. It was cast in Shanxi Province in a foundry near the famous Houma Foundry. Age unknown but the dealer said he acquired it in the late 1940’s. In museum quality condition.
