During this span of time, Egypt was invaded and occupied by several peoples. The Persians, in 525 BC, occupied Egypt and made it one of its many provinces. By 30 B.C., Egypt was incorporated into the Roman Empire.
Ancient Egypt’s last independent ruler was Queen Cleopatra who ended her life after her defeat at the battle of Actium (31 B.C.).
A stunning piece of history authenticated by Egyptologist Dr. Serop Simonian (Hamburg Germany). A collector – from Farmington New York USA – acquired it from him in 2003. I acquired it a few years ago for my personal collection.
The face is still detailed, with full lips and slightly hooked nose. Overall, the mask is in very good condition.
This mask in “preserved condition” was legally brought to the U.S. The dealer I purchased it from has been in business for over 60 years.
A custom acrylic display case is available for an extra fee. It allows the mask to be seen from all sides.
For the VERY Serious Collector. Stand not included.
