Alabaster Burmese Disciple Statue, Burma

A recently excavated 18th Century Shan period disciple sitting on a wire/wood base.  These statues are commonly found along the walls of  temples.  This is an authentic piece and very rare. . . .  especially in this perfect condition.   Charcoal or chalk were normally used to highlight facial features.
