19th Century Bronze Censer / Incense Burner, China

Click the photo above for a larger version and more pictures

A lovely antique censer / piece in mint condition. The designs are incredible. On the lid is a mythical Chinese character called a Qilin with a unicorn-type horn, tusks and a long snout. In addition there are two heart-shaped vents on the lid. It was acquired by an art dealer from an estate of people who had lived in Asia for most of their lives. I acquired it from that dealer in 1999. Circa mid- to late-1800’s. In pristine condition. For the Serious Collector.
